Team Feature: Braydon Scheves
Rob Thibault
Earlier this month, we kicked off a series that introduces you to our amazing, efficient, funny, committed SNOWCLEARED team members! We wanted to continue introducing you to the people who make this work possible. Who makes this team run? Today we wanted to introduce you to, Braydon Scheves.
Read along as we took a few minutes to ask Braydon a few questions about his time at SNOWCLEARED! We cannot say thank you enough for how speedily he answered our questions in the middle of a busy week!
How did you first hear of TBO's Snow & Ice?
I was looking for a reputable company to work with and happened to notice a Facebook post that a family friend had interacted with, so I’m messaged the page. A few meetings later…I was apart of the crew.
When did you join the team?
I joined the team in the Fall/Winter of 2017.
What are you responsible for?
I basically help out wherever I can. I run a crew of six guys with two plow/salt trucks and two skid steers.
What do you love most about your job?
It feels good to do what most people physically and mentally cannot. Long hours in cold, dangerous, and unpredictable circumstances aren’t for a lot of people. I enjoy being one of the only vehicles on the road working to keep local businesses running and safe.
What is the most challenging aspect of your job?
One of the most challenging aspects I’d have to say about this job has to be the unpredictability of the weather. Sometimes, the weather man calls for flurries and we end up getting four inches. Also when you’re anticipating a storm, it’s hard to sleep or relax say, the day before a storm.
What is one piece of advice you would give to folks in the market for snow and deicing services?
We are doing our best to get to every single site . If we show up late, please know it’s not due to us sleeping in or because you aren’t a priority. It’s the nature of the game unfortunately. We are stuck in the same traffic jams you are. But don’t worry, don’t stop until all of our sites are serviced. Your patience is so patience is appreciated!
Says Rob, “Braydon is the epitome of commitment. He’s basically a snow ninja that keeps us on track to combat the unrelenting snow storms. When other folks are going out of their way to stay off the roads, Braydon takes his place at the helm, making drive lanes and parking lots safer for everyone. We couldn’t be more grateful for team members like Braydon who make SNOWCLEARED the organization it is today!”
Our team wouldn’t be what it is without you, Braydon! Stay tuned for our next feature!
